COVID-19 UPDATE
Notice of Suspending Meetings
In response to the need for social distancing in order to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, DBSA Colorado Springs is suspending all regular meetings after Wednesday, March 18. The well-being of all Attendees, Facilitators, Staff, and other Volunteers is central to our purpose and remains our top priority as we respond to the current global health challenge.
DBSA‑CS is working on establishing local virtual or teleconference meetings, but in the interim, all participants are encouraged to attend one of the two dozen existing on‑line meetings offered through DBSA National. If you have access to the Internet, you can find a meeting by going to www.supportgroupscentral.com/groups_detail.cfm?cid=18 and picking a time and type of group that is best for you.
Your Support Group Facilitator and our Chapter want to be able to stay in touch with you and let you know about the start-up of local virtual meetings during this disruption. There are four ways for you to stay connected:
- Provide your Group Facilitator with your contact information
- Get updates by calling our Chapter phone, 719-477-1515, for the outgoing message
- Check for announcements on our website, DBSAColoradoSprings.org
- Share your preferred contact information with the Chapter office for future updates. The best way to do that is to email how you want to be reached (email, text, or phone call), along with your name, to help@DBSAColoradoSprings.org.
If you share your contact information with your Group’s Peer Facilitator or the Chapter Staff, you can be assured that this information will not be shared outside DBSA Colorado Springs in any way. Emails and Texts will be sent in a way that does not expose your contact information even to other members of your Support Group.
